Local enough to care (but international enough to know where the nearest airport is)
Supporting local businesses in Cranfield, Newport Pagnell, Bedford, Milton Keynes (MK) and Northampton
We are always looking to expand our family whether it’s with clients from down the road, across the pond or Narnia. This is one thing that we do really pride ourselves on; that we always have room for more, yet all our clients always feel as if they are our only client.
That’s a hard balance to strike you know, but we seem to be doing just fine with it. So fine in fact, that our clients keep recommending us!
How we support our local community
A lot of businesses say they support their community, but for us, it’s ingrained in our company culture. We feel that it is of utmost importance to support our community and local charities so we make it our mission to give as much as we can and help change people’s lives for the better.
Here are some of the charities and organisations that we support or have supported in the past:
St Mark's Meals
In 2019 and again in 2020, on our Annual Open Day, we raised money for St Mark’s Meals. £414 in 2019 and £165 in 2020. This charity believes that ‘no child should go hungry’ so they provide food and recipe ideas to vulnerable children and their families in and around Milton Keynes.
Willen Hospice
Jonathan braved the shears and had his beard shaved off for the 30th anniversary of Willen Hospice. Ironically, it had been about 30 years since Jonathan had last shaved – which is probably how he raised £1,500 for them!
Rae Rae Trust
In 2018, on our annual open day, we raised £338 for children with cancer and their families at Rae Rae Trust.
British Lung Foundation
In 2017 on our annual open day, we raised £896 for BLF.
Brainstrust
In 2016 on our annual open day, we raised £500 for Brainstrust.
RNLI
In 2019, with the help of the Freemasons, Jonathan presented a cheque for £1000 to RNLI.
The office went to Blackpool in 2012 with the blokes dressed as women to fundraise for RNLI. They raised £450 including gift aid!
Young Enterprise
Both Jonathan and Coral have been a Young Enterprise Advisor, giving up time most weeks during term-time to help develop the young talent of today.
Local community magazines, sports groups & schools
We provide ongoing support to the Cranfield Express, Sherington SCAN and Ampthill Fuddler, as well as Cranfield FC, Bedford Town FC, and several local schools.
Pro bono work
As a firm, we help some of our local charities and churches by providing them with some free services (e.g. Ride High, Special Needs Unit Gymnast’s (SNUGS) and Cranfield’s Cranes Pre-school).
